On approval of the Rules for the payment of a lump-sum compensation in the event of the death of a member of the armed forces whilst on active service, a member of the armed forces serving in the reserves whilst attending training or combat readiness exercises, crisis response exercises, or a person liable for military service who has been called up for military exercises, where they shall be assessed as having a disability or have sustained an injury related to the performance of their military duties
